Ewan and Jemima contacted me from New Zealand asking me to photograph their wedding in Wales. First of all I thought they meant New South Wales…add that to the travelling expenses I thought. No Jemima’s family had a fantastic house opposite Conwy castle in North Wales. I’m happy to travel to practice my art. I promote myself as a Dorset Wedding photographer but I’m just as comfortable being a national or even international photographer!
Ewan and Jem, had the official and Legal ceremony in the morning at Conwy Guildhall followed by a lunch in their marquee with all their guests. After this the ‘real’ ceremony, a humanist ceremony with their own words. I like these ceremonies as they are so personal. Then the fun began!
The most confetti I’ve seen at one wedding….Ewans order so I’ve been told! Lawn games, a few new to me. Fricket? its like Frisbee cricket involving sticks with plastic beer glasses on and a Frisbee that you don’t catch….I found this out when the crowd parted like Moses at the water’s edge leaving a pass for a direct hit between my eyes. Much to everyone’s amusement. another Dutch game I’m not even trying to spell, suffice to say it was like a cross between Air hockey and billiards.
I loved this wedding and would do it over and over. Great company and perfect people.
Congratulations MR and MRS Briggs. I hope you have a long and happy life together. You made me laugh and smile a lot.
