A few years ago I got married to my beautiful wife and we decided that a photobooth would be quite fun to have at our reception. We were so pleased that we did, the Photo booth became one of the main features of the evening keeping adults and children amused for hours. I like it so much I decided to look into providing the service to my own wedding clients as an added extra.
I took a few notes about my own experiences.
- it needed to be inexpensive so I could pass on a decent priced addon
- the ability to stand up to the fumbling and pushing around of a few lads after a couple of rounds of drinks
- A monitor to see your selfie before the shot
- quick prints
Now after a bit of research I realised I already owned most of the inner workings from my event photography kit so all I needed was to make it. I found lots of light weight options that I could buy off the shelf but I remembered the abuse it would get and soon realised the aluminum would definitely fail me. I opted for a Heavy wooden frame with steel poles. This has been with me for 3 seasons of weddings and has had nothing but compliments. It is a nice addition to any party, event or wedding.
