Order of Service - The little details matter
365 days of weddings | Day 39
The order of service on your wedding day is one of the details that is often overlooked but when the thought goes into the detail it really does make a difference. Your guests enter your ceremony and the first thing they see on your wedding day is the order of service, be that in a church or wedding venue. Imagine walking into a place, not just a wedding, any place you care to think of first impressions count. That business card the salesperson passed you, was it out of the wallet, dog-eared, or from a nice holder kept all fresh, I know which one I’d be more inclined to contact after the initial meeting. In terms of a restaurant it would be the menu, well you get the picture I’m sure. When your guests sit down and look at the order of service it is the first thing they physically touch and you want it to set the tone for the rest of the day. Does it say quality? Does it represent you? Does it look like an afterthought?
This wedding at Kingston Country Courtyard was full of those little details and each one had been carefully selected and simply stated – Luxury Wedding. Just look at how perfectly aligned the booklets are, not only that but the tassels too! Such attention to detail never goes unnoticed, especially by your wedding photographer! It makes such a difference to the overall feel of a wedding. Each one of these order of service cards was bound and printed with beautiful foil embossing on the cover, they were such a statement. The couple even had the plates that were used for the printing of their wedding cards in a keepsake box to treasure forever.
What details do you have at your wedding, do they say what they want about you?
