Valentines day proposals - The wedding ring
365 Days of Weddings | Day 36
Only two days until Valentine’s day and there are people up and down the country preparing to pop the big question. Lining the pockets of these people are little sparkly treasures. The wedding ring is a tradition dating far back in history and over the years I have heard many explanations about the significance of them. Everything from representing the unbroken circle of love and trust to an artery that ran from your wedding ring finger directly to your heart.
For me, it is a constant reminder of my wife and I wear it every day, It hasn’t come off in 7 years. I instinctively rotate my wedding ring during the quiet moments of every wedding I attend and think of my wife.
Photographing the wedding rings is one of the things I love to be a little creative with and among my peers we all see what we can do with them. The wallpaper at the Langtry Manor in Poole was calling for this photo to be taken.
Look after those rings people, for on the 14th you’ll need them.
