Bosham Sailing Club Wedding with rain and laughter
“Rain and Clouds cannot stop a celebration”
I received my festival wedding invite as soon as the question was asked of Elizabeth, I met these beautiful souls at Adam’s sister’s wedding exactly one year to the day before their wedding. Yes, they share their anniversary date, never to be forgotten in that family!
I have to be honest, the thought of spending the day with this family once again made me happy, sometimes a family is just full of kindred spirits and for me, this was one of those, what I didn’t realise is that Elizabeth’s family were too. I’ll remember this celebration for a long time. Bosham Sailing Club and Holy Trinity Church, Bosham were both new venues for me, they were both outstanding venues, and the staff at both couldn’t do more to help me in any way they could.
Holy Trinity Church
Holy Trinity Church in Bosham has an incredible history and features on the Bayeux Tapestry as the church King Harold visits before setting sail to Normandy, it has such a light and airy feel inside which is rare for a Church of its time. We were welcomed to the church with the gift of rain, Elizabeth refused an Umbrella and walked to the church from home where she got ready, nothing would stop this woman from getting the wedding of her dreams.
Bosham Sailing Club
As a small sailing club I was quite surprised how well they coped with inclement conditions under the marquee, I’ve seen larger specialist wedding venues do a lot worse, the rain poured down around us but no one cared, we all had an amazing time. After the speeches, the rain abated and let us have the evening free for plenty of photos.
