Christchurch Harbour hotel wedding photographer

Its always nice to be asked to attend one of my favourite local venues as a Christchurch Harbour Hotel wedding photographer. When the couple are as photogenic as these guys its doubly perfect. Iustina picked the most perfect dress for her, I applaud her choice of a short dress to suit her stature, she looked stunning.

When getting ready, unusually, dad stayed in the room while she got ready and surprisingly this was a beautiful moment. Traditionally the Father of the Bride hides until the big reveal when her gets the ‘first look’, I have found that the staged moment has been somewhat of a let down 80% of the time when everyone is anxious about being late for the ceremony. I witnessed pure, proud, love in dad’s eyes as his little princess transformed into Matthews Bride. This continued all the way to the isle where Iustina definitely took Matthews breath away as she entered the Immaculate Conception & St Joseph Church in Purewell.

Alongside their documentary wedding photography both Matthew and Iustina attacked their portrait session with gusto as the light in the hotel garden overlooking Mudeford bay became perfect. I’m sure you’d agree that the portrait session on the waterside was timed to perfection and they did everything I asked of them. One of my favourite images of 2016 is on the pier.

The speeches didn’t let the side down either, personal, emotional with just the correct amount of humour. One thing I noted throughout this wedding was Iustina’s closeness with her dad, it was lovely to see the connection between them and reminded me of my daughters, I’d love to be this close with them when they grow up, beautiful.

See how I got the photograph of her on the Pier at The Christchurch Harbour Hotel in this Behind the Scenes Post
