Somerset has such a lot going for it, the Blackdown Hills, Mendip Hills, Quantock Hills and Exmoor National Park, and large flat expanses of land including the Somerset Levels. One of my favourite things is the Bath stone that so many buildings feature around the county. This Country house wedding venue is a great example of what the county has to offer a North Cadbury Court wedding photographer.

When I visited North Cadbury Court for this wedding I was lucky enough to have two wedding days with the same couple! If you have 30 seconds you have time to watch the high tempo highlight slideshow if you have longer take a look through the rest of the page to see the fun we had.

Two weddings, one Bride at North Cadbury Court

One of the unique points North Cadbury Court has is the fact that not only can you have a civil wedding ceremony in the house or garden but you have the opportunity to use the absolutely beautiful St Michaels church which is on the grounds of the house itself, how amazing is that!

This couple used this to their advantage and did both over the course of a weekend, the legal ceremony on Saturday followed by a blessing in the church on Sunday. This truly was an epic wedding weekend for this North Cadbury Court wedding photographer.

A Country house wedding venue – Somerset

On the first day of this fantastic North Cadbury Court wedding, the civil ceremony was set to be shared with friends from George and Rebecca’s respective universities. The first of two fantastic wedding dresses were revealed, Rebecca certainly knew how to make the most of her wedding weekend.

North Cadbury Court is the perfect venue with exclusive use of the 25 bedroom Somerset Country Manor house. The light in the bridal suite is fantastic and those huge windows throw so much beautiful. These soft light into the room as a wedding photographer I feel spoilt. After the bridal suite comes the slow walk down the extravagant staircase past a bank of leadlight windows. Where you can sense the children playing up and down. Them during the war when North Cadbury Court was an evacuated London Nursery.

North Cadbury Court wedding – Day 2

The venue for the second wedding of the weekend was the blessing in St Michaels church. Now, this isn’t just any church it is the size of an Abbey! What the bride and groom didn’t know was that their friends had set up a flash mob choir. Something I got told five minutes before it happened, I’d not experienced this before. The tingles up the spine as one by one another voice perked up. Started to walk to the front of the church, Rebecca could not hold back the tears.

Two cakes

One of the benefits of a two-day multi ceremony wedding is not only multiple outfits but multiple cakes! I’m not going to complain, yum!

This was one epic wedding! North Cadbury Court is an epic Somerset venue to match. If you are planning to get married at North Cadbury Court please get in touch to check availability for your wedding date. I’d love to have a chat about what you have planned.
