Smedmore House Wedding photographer
On 21st September I had the pleasure of being the Smedmore House wedding photographer for Charlie and Jo.
Smedmore House is one of the wedding venues in Dorset that I look forward top visiting every time. I get the chance, Imagine being the lord or Lady of the Manor for the weekend. This is what you get from this venue. Exclusive use of the entire house and grounds for the weekend. The house is full of the type of furniture and decoration that the gentry would have. Oak panelled rooms and oil paintings, huge tables and vases. The house is amazing and as a photographer I appreciate the light in the big west facing bay windows. Simply stunning.
Smedmore House – wedding photofilm
To kick this all off you’ll find a photofilm below of all my favourite moments from the wedding in Corfe. The celebration in Smedmore House. Both Jo and Charlie were a blast to be around. Be sure to see an amazing amount of laughter in the photographs
Make sure you go full screen and turn the sound up.
Some of my favourite photos
Take time to view the featured images below in their own right. Nearly all of the images have their own story to tell, take a moment to work it out. One of the best things about being a documentary wedding photographer is spotting the story happening in front of the camera and selecting the frame in which to tell it, not an easy thing to do as my years of failures to interpret these moments as my mind sees them will attest to however, I can happily say my storytelling skills are fine tuned now.
Charlie and Jo were great on the day and worked hard to get what they wanted. From their Smedmore House wedding Photographer, organised with such ease by a well briefed team. It makes such a difference when your wedding team or ‘bride tribe’ is on point for you. The Formal groups went without hitch and when the rain appeared for the outdoor speeches. So did the umbrellas along with plan b silently swinging into action. Fun and laughter were very much part of this day, I enjoyed this from start to finish.
If you are planning to have this much laughter at your wedding. Please get in touch I’d love to hear about your plans.
