They didn’t want a “wedding.” They wanted a history-themed party in a barn. From the sword fighting (yes, really) to the absolute carnage on the dancefloor, this day was the perfect definition of “Unscripted.” No stiff group shots, just great light, loud music, and two people having the best day of their lives. On 29th June I had the pleasure of being the Symondsbury Estate, Tythe Barn wedding photographer for Stephen and Ellie.
Stephen and Ellie booked over a year in advance of their wedding near Bridport,Dorset. Stephen is the Brother of one of my closest friends so this wedding had a little extra intimacy for me.
Being a wedding photographer at Tunnels Beaches wedding venue has something special about it. This wedding day was treated with a very special Devon sunset.
What a day this was at Chilworth Manor Hotel in Hampshire. I met Conny and Bailey at a New Forest wedding fair and I knew we’d get along. They were down-to-earth people who just wanted to have a happy day without too much fuss.
Imagine yourself in the middle of a quintessentially English country garden with peacocks roaming free a couple of macaws sitting in the trees, live music playing in the background with warm sun glancing your skin, got it? Now you are somewhere near the feeling of getting married at a Larmertree wedding. Ben and Alexis had just this other tan a short, sharp shower just before the ceremony to add a bit of drama to the day.
On this day exactly one year ago I had the pleasure of spending a day at the Larmer Tree gardens for such a wedding. Happy Anniversary to Aly and Steve. I simply adored this day, a wet afternoon did not dampen the spirits at this wedding. As you will see when Aly arrived from the King John Inn the Brollies were up.
