An Intimate Bournemouth Registry Office wedding

A bride, a groom their daughter and her friend

Not all wedding plans involve a large, elaborate celebration, but every wedding I attend is centred around one essential element: love. This intimate wedding at the Bournemouth registry office was no exception. Reese, the groom, reached out to me just a few weeks before their big day. In what could be described as an elopement, Reese and Tallula travelled from Uckfield to Bournemouth, a place they had cherished during many visits over the years. They decided it was the perfect location for their wedding, and I couldn’t agree more.

Their celebration was delightfully low-key, with their daughter and her best friend serving as bridesmaids and witnesses. It was a simple yet profoundly meaningful affair, proving that all you really need for a wedding is love and the people who matter most. Spending time with Reese and Tallula, it was evident that they were full of fun and laughter. They meant every word of their vows, and I have no doubt they will enjoy a long and happy marriage.

Reese booked me for my minimum coverage of two hours, which was more than enough to capture the essence of their Bournemouth elopement. Since their hotel was on my way to the ceremony, I made a quick stop to say hello before heading to Bournemouth Town Hall for the ceremony where the registrars there are always so welcoming, and the newly decorated small ceremony room was just perfect.

Outside, Tallula and her bridesmaids waited patiently while Reese was interviewed. There was an amusing addition to the bouquetโ€”a snail named Sidney, courtesy of their teenage daughter, much to the bride’s mild disgust. Inside, Reese looked a bit nervous, a side of him I hadn’t seen before, but all his anxiety melted away the moment Tallula walked in.

After the ceremony, we took a brief stroll to Bournemouth Gardens, blessed with sunshine, where we captured some lovely portraits of the newlyweds and their bridal party. The atmosphere was filled with joy and laughter, perfectly encapsulating the spirit of their day.
